Q. Can you help me find a CPR class in my area?
Dr. Zibners' Answer:
Thanks Amy from Maryland for this great question. Taking a CPR class is a great way to not only reassure yourself that you are prepared in case of emergency, but I’m a big believer in karma. So fingers crossed, getting yourself CPR certified will hopefully mean you’ll never need to use these skills. Try going to the American Heart Association website at www.americanheart.org and searching for a “Family and Friends First Aid for Children” course near you. You can also contact your local Red Cross chapter by going to www.redcross.org and entering your zip code. If all else fails, try contacting your local hospital and asking about CPR classes and CPR for infants and children. Good luck!

"WHAT I LIKED: This book is written in a funny, down to earth way that doesn't make you feel like an idiot. I really would have appreciated something like this when my kids were really little and I freaked out over everything they put in their mouths. It has a scenario/question and answer format, with clear answers on when not to panic and when to call 911."
